Privacy Policy

DroneBusters takes your privacy seriously and follows Canadian privacy law. Here's a plain-language rundown of what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

If you contact us through our website or by email, we get whatever you choose to share - like your name, organization, email, phone number and event details. Our website may also use cookies and basic analytics to see how visitors use the site.

When we provide drone detection at an event, our equipment picks up signals broadcast by nearby drones. That can include the drone's model and ID, its location and flight path, and the approximate location of the person flying it. We don't capture video, photos or communications from drones.

How we use it

We use your contact details to reply to you and plan your event. We use detection data to keep events safe - alerting security to drone activity and, when needed, helping them or police find the operator. We may also use anonymized data, with no one identified, to improve our service.

We never sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Detection data goes to the event's security team and, when safety calls for it, to police. We also rely on trusted providers like web hosting and email to run our business. Event detection data is kept for about 30 days, then deleted unless it's needed for an incident.

Questions?

You can ask to see or correct the information we have about you, or ask us to stop using it, anytime. Reach us at support@dronebusters.ca. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
